Shamwari is home to five of South Africa’s seven biomes, making it a destination unlike any other.
Because of Shamwari’s conservation efforts, Shamwari has officially been declared a Protected Environment. Today Shamwari comprises of 7 luxury lodges and one explorer camp, two different education and rehabilitation facilities and employs over 325 local staff.
The land and buildings have been restored to their rightful state with the stunning Eastern Cape fauna and flora of yesteryear and the reserve today flourishes with wildlife.
