In recent years Campo de Ourique has started to make a name for itself as a foodie destination in Lisbon, with new and innovative restaurants opening up and thriving. Throughout the food and culture walk, you will be taken on a foodie journey through the local food market and other traditional restaurants and hidden gems where locals eat.

Traverse the ancient streets of Alfama, where Fado music echoes from traditional taverns and the scent of grilled sardines fills the air. We’ll glide through the bustling Baixa district, with its grand plazas and bustling shopping streets, before making our way up to the historic Bairro Alto, known for its bohemian atmosphere and vibrant nightlife.

This morning we will check out of our hotel and transfer to the beautiful Algarve, stopping on the way to play golf. We will reach the club via a lovely short ferry crossing from Setubal to the Peninsula of Troia.
The Dunas Course at Terras da Comporta, designed by David McLay Kidd, opened in 2023, and has already established itself in the top tier of continental golf. The fescue feast of Dunas plays like a links course and sits 1km from the Atlantic Ocean. The holes are routed along wide fairways lined by corridors of mature trees, where playability off the tee is paramount – with sandy waste areas populated with some native vegetation – you need strategy on every tee shot. There is always a better side of the fairway to approach the green from and sometimes dramatic reward for a bold line.

Non Golfers – Visit to Comporta ‘The Hamptons of Europe’ with wine tasting
Today, after the golfers are dropped off for golf at Dunas, our non-golfers will enjoy a visit to Comporta, one of Portugal’s trendiest and most exclusive resort towns. Renowned for its unspoiled natural beauty and miles of pristine beaches, this coastal town is home to a mix of artists and A listers. The environment has been preserved for years, in part thanks to its status as a highly protected nature reserve (look out for huge nesting storks and flamingos in the river), in addition to previously being owned by the Espírito Santo banking family (Portugal’s leading banking group), which closely oversaw any development. Days here are unhurried. It’s an easy, breezy stylish existence in this part of Portugal, with comparisons to New York’s Hamptons. Comporta is a small village in size, but it is full of sophisticated restaurants, tastefully designed stores and chic hotels.

Today we will relax in the Mediterranean Sun while sailing aboard our own private yacht. Sailing along the Algarve coastline, with its beautiful rock formations, caves and beaches, we will visit some of the most remote and secluded parts of the sunny Algarve. Look for pods of dolphins around the coast of Albufeira, where marine life and caves abound. Bask in the sapphire blue waters of the Atlantic as we explore the most beautiful caves and rock formations of the region. This morning we will check out of our hotel and leave Portugal, as we make our way to the beautiful Costa del Sol in Spain, stopping on the way to explore Seville (approx. 5hr drive)

Visit the breathtaking Seville Cathedral and climb the Giralda Tower for sweeping city views, then wander the atmospheric lanes of Barrio Santa Cruz. Finish with a quick stop at Real Alcázar’s gardens or a photo stop at the stunning Plaza de España before enjoying a coffee in one of the nearby plazas to soak in the city’s charm.

If culture is more your thing, Marbella Old Town dates back to the 15th century, right after the Christian Reconquista. Featuring winding streets, typical Andalusian houses with balconies decorated with fresh flowers, historic buildings and a great choice of cool restaurants and small boutiques, the Old Town offers something to see and enjoy at every corner.
