The Castello Tolcinasco Golf Club had the honour of hosting 5 Italian Open from 2004 to 2008 on its Blue and Yellow nines, which are regarded as the championship 18-hole combination. This Arnold Palmer designed course was set out in the early 1990’s. Holes to look out for include the 387-metre 9th on the Blue, which veers around water on the left on its way to the green, and the par four 4th on the Yellow, where there’s out of bounds on the left and water on the right of the fairway.
Following golf the group will guided visit to Citta Alta.
Surrounded by the 16th-century Venetian Walls, the medieval Città Alta is dominated by the Rocca di Bergamo fortress. Handsome piazzas house the arcaded Palazzo della Ragione, the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore with its gilded interior, and the intricate marble facade of the Cappella Colleoni. Narrow alleys are lined with upscale indie boutiques and delis, as well as centuries-old cafes, trattorias, and wine bars

Founded in 1962, Carimate is a unique golf club, between Como and Milan, designed with a focus on Italian design and developed around an old manor house. The long and broad fairways wind their way between huge rhododendron groves and majestic old oaks. This is a beautiful course, well balanced with nature.

Albergo Terminus opens onto Lake Como, where beauty unfolds at every glance. Lake Maggiore is one of the most beautiful Italian lakes and has enchanted the great Italian and foreign artists who have stayed here. It is believed to be the largest of the pre-Alpine lakes, hence the name “Maggiore”, it is of glacial origin and its banks are in Lombardy, Piedmont and Switzerland. Surrounded by mountains and hills that shelter it from the cold northern winds, the lake has the Ticino River among its tributaries, a historic water route connecting the Po Valley to Central Europe.
Hotel La Palma, located in Stresa on Lake Maggiore, is a luxurious, family-friendly hotel known for its picturesque lakefront views, elegant dining, and relaxing amenities, including a spa and swimming pool. Bogogno Golf Club, or Circolo Golf Bogogno, is one of Europe’s most impressive 36-hole golf resorts. With two contrasting Robert von Hagge-designed courses, Del Conte and Bonora, it’s a destination well worth knowing.
Located less than an hour’s drive to the northwest of Milan, Bogogno is set in the foothills of the Monte Rosa Massif mountain range close to the Swiss border and both courses utilise the undulating topography spectacularly… what else would you expect from an architect of von Hagge’s flair?
The Bonora course is longer and more technically challenging than its neighbouring course. Water hazards are prevalent and, as we’ve already mentioned, the going is rather hilly in places.

On this tour, the group will get a chance to explore the Borromean Islands onboard a comfortable boat. At Isola Bella Island, you will be able to stroll through the summer residence of Count Vitaliano VI. If you choose to disembark on Isola Madre, you will be able to explore the gardens of Palazzo Borromeo. In the fishing village of Isola dei Pescatori, you will be able to enjoy a traditional lunch.

Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Castelconturbia Golf Club opened for play in 1984 to a standing ovation. It’s located about one hour’s drive to the north of Milan and it has bags of Italian style.
Castelconturbia is one of Italy’s most challenging courses and with three nine-hole loops there are a number of playing combinations. If you want to play the Italian Open course, you’ll need to play the Blue and Yellow nines (the Red course makes up the 27 holes) and, if you want to score well, you’ll need to have some accurate approach shots in your armoury. The Castelconturbia greens are huge, and very difficult to read and they can be cruel with their pin placements.

The Castello Tolcinasco Golf Club had the honour of hosting 5 Italian Open from 2004 to 2008 on its Blue and Yellow nines, which are regarded as the championship 18-hole combination. This Arnold Palmer designed course was set out in the early 1990’s. Holes to look out for include the 387-metre 9th on the Blue, which veers around water on the left on its way to the green, and the par four 4th on the Yellow, where there’s out of bounds on the left and water on the right of the fairway.
Following golf the group will guided visit to Citta Alta.
Surrounded by the 16th-century Venetian Walls, the medieval Città Alta is dominated by the Rocca di Bergamo fortress. Handsome piazzas house the arcaded Palazzo della Ragione, the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore with its gilded interior, and the intricate marble facade of the Cappella Colleoni. Narrow alleys are lined with upscale indie boutiques and delis, as well as centuries-old cafes, trattorias, and wine bars

Founded in 1962, Carimate is a unique golf club, between Como and Milan, designed with a focus on Italian design and developed around an old manor house. The long and broad fairways wind their way between huge rhododendron groves and majestic old oaks. This is a beautiful course, well balanced with nature.

Lake Maggiore is one of the most beautiful Italian lakes and has enchanted the great Italian and foreign artists who have stayed here. It is believed to be the largest of the pre-Alpine lakes, hence the name “Maggiore”, it is of glacial origin and its banks are in Lombardy, Piedmont and Switzerland. Surrounded by mountains and hills that shelter it from the cold northern winds, the lake has the Ticino River among its tributaries, a historic water route connecting the Po Valley to Central Europe.

Bogogno Golf Club, or Circolo Golf Bogogno, is one of Europe’s most impressive 36-hole golf resorts. With two contrasting Robert von Hagge-designed courses, Del Conte and Bonora, it’s a destination well worth knowing.
Located less than an hour’s drive to the northwest of Milan, Bogogno is set in the foothills of the Monte Rosa Massif mountain range close to the Swiss border and both courses utilise the undulating topography spectacularly… what else would you expect from an architect of von Hagge’s flair?
The Bonora course is longer and more technically challenging than its neighbouring course. Water hazards are prevalent and, as we’ve already mentioned, the going is rather hilly in places.

On this tour, the group will get a chance to explore the Borromean Islands onboard a comfortable boat. At Isola Bella Island, you will be able to stroll through the summer residence of Count Vitaliano VI. If you choose to disembark on Isola Madre, you will be able to explore the gardens of Palazzo Borromeo. In the fishing village of Isola dei Pescatori, you will be able to enjoy a traditional lunch.

Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Castelconturbia Golf Club opened for play in 1984 to a standing ovation. It’s located about one hour’s drive to the north of Milan and it has bags of Italian style.
Castelconturbia is one of Italy’s most challenging courses and with three nine-hole loops there are a number of playing combinations. If you want to play the Italian Open course, you’ll need to play the Blue and Yellow nines (the Red course makes up the 27 holes) and, if you want to score well, you’ll need to have some accurate approach shots in your armoury. The Castelconturbia greens are huge, and very difficult to read and they can be cruel with their pin placements.
