About this tour
When does the 2027 Japan Golf & Cherry Blossom Tour run?
This exclusive tour departs 4–14 April 2027. A 10-night journey through Tokyo, Hakone and Lake Yamanaka, timed for peak cherry blossom season.
Where will we stay?
Four handpicked hotels: three nights at the ANA InterContinental Tokyo, three nights at the Odakyu Hotel de Yama in Hakone, three nights at the Fuji Marriott Lake Yamanaka, and a final night at the InterContinental Tokyo Bay before you depart.
Which golf courses are included?
Six rounds across some of Japan’s most celebrated courses: Caledonian Golf Course, Yokohama Country Club (West Course), Grand Fields Country Club, Hakone Country Club, Fujizakura Country Club and Kawaguchiko Country Club. Shared motorised carts are provided at every round except Yokohama Country Club, which is a walking course (a motorised cart is available there with a medical certificate).
Is the tour open to non-golfers or partners?
Yes: this tour is open to women and men, and partners who don’t golf are warmly welcome. Cultural experiences and sightseeing are arranged for non-golfers on golfing days, so everyone stays part of the group.
How many guests will be on the tour, and is there a host?
Spaces are limited to 16 golfers for this 2027 departure, and the tour is fully escorted throughout by one of Golf & Tours’ experienced hosts, from your Welcome Drinks Function on night one to the Farewell Dinner Banquet on your final evening.
Will we see the cherry blossoms in full bloom?
April is one of the best windows for sakura across the Tokyo, Hakone and Mt. Fuji region, but exact bloom dates shift slightly each year with the weather, so full bloom on any single day can’t be guaranteed. This tour is timed to give you the best possible chance of catching the blossoms at their peak across several locations.
What’s included in the tour price, and what’s not?
Included: 10 nights’ accommodation, six rounds of golf with shared motorised carts (except Yokohama), caddies, daily breakfast, eight lunches, a Welcome Drinks Function, Farewell Dinner, guided sightseeing and cultural activities, all group transfers, Wi-Fi throughout your hotels, daily golf prizes and a welcome gift. From AU$15,995pp twin/double share, or AU$19,995pp for a single golfer package.
Travelling to Japan with Golf & Tours
Do I need a visa to travel to Japan?
Requirements depend on your passport and nationality, so please check with the Japanese embassy or consulate before you travel, it’s your responsibility to hold any visas or permits required. Many nationalities, including Australian passport holders, can currently enter Japan visa-free for short tourist stays, but we recommend confirming your specific requirements closer to departure.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes: comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for everyone travelling on a Golf & Tours holiday, covering cancellation, medical expenses, repatriation and baggage. We strongly recommend a “Cancel For Any Reason” (CFAR) policy, since tour payments are non-refundable.
Do I need to bring my own golf clubs, and is there a dress code at Japanese golf courses?
Most guests bring their own clubs, check with your airline about sports luggage allowances. Japanese golf clubs are traditionally quite formal: collared shirts, tailored trousers or shorts, and soft (non-metal) spikes are expected.
Can I extend my trip before or after the tour?
Yes: Golf & Tours is happy to arrange extra nights of accommodation or a private airport transfer if your flights don’t align with the group transfer, at no extra charge up until the final balance due date (after which a $100 service fee applies).

Six rounds across some of Japan’s most celebrated courses: Caledonian Golf Course, Yokohama Country Club (West Course), Grand Fields Country Club, Hakone Country Club, Fujizakura Country Club and Kawaguchiko Country Club. Shared motorised carts are provided at every round except Yokohama Country Club, which is a walking course (a motorised cart is available there with a medical certificate).
Is the tour open to non-golfers or partners?
Yes: this tour is open to women and men, and partners who don’t golf are warmly welcome. Cultural experiences and sightseeing are arranged for non-golfers on golfing days, so everyone stays part of the group.
How many guests will be on the tour, and is there a host?
Spaces are limited to 16 golfers for this 2027 departure, and the tour is fully escorted throughout by one of Golf & Tours’ experienced hosts, from your Welcome Drinks Function on night one to the Farewell Dinner Banquet on your final evening.
Will we see the cherry blossoms in full bloom?
April is one of the best windows for sakura across the Tokyo, Hakone and Mt. Fuji region, but exact bloom dates shift slightly each year with the weather, so full bloom on any single day can’t be guaranteed. This tour is timed to give you the best possible chance of catching the blossoms at their peak across several locations.
What’s included in the tour price, and what’s not?
Included: 10 nights’ accommodation, six rounds of golf with shared motorised carts (except Yokohama), caddies, daily breakfast, eight lunches, a Welcome Drinks Function, Farewell Dinner, guided sightseeing and cultural activities, all group transfers, Wi-Fi throughout your hotels, daily golf prizes and a welcome gift. Not included: flights, meals not stated in the itinerary, travel insurance, and personal expenses or gratuities.
How much does the tour cost, and what are the payment terms?
From AU$15,995pp twin/double share, or AU$19,995pp for a single golfer package.
Travelling to Japan with Golf & Tours
Do I need a visa to travel to Japan?
Requirements depend on your passport and nationality, so please check with the Japanese embassy or consulate before you travel, it’s your responsibility to hold any visas or permits required. Many nationalities, including Australian passport holders, can currently enter Japan visa-free for short tourist stays, but we recommend confirming your specific requirements closer to departure.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes: comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for everyone travelling on a Golf & Tours holiday, covering cancellation, medical expenses, repatriation and baggage. We strongly recommend a “Cancel For Any Reason” (CFAR) policy, since tour payments are non-refundable.
Do I need to bring my own golf clubs, and is there a dress code at Japanese golf courses?
Most guests bring their own clubs, check with your airline about sports luggage allowances. Japanese golf clubs are traditionally quite formal: collared shirts, tailored trousers or shorts, and soft (non-metal) spikes are expected.
Can I extend my trip before or after the tour?
Yes: Golf & Tours is happy to arrange extra nights of accommodation or a private airport transfer if your flights don’t align with the group transfer, at no extra charge up until the final balance due date (after which a $100 service fee applies).
