The tee for the par three 17th is located at the highest point on the course – offering panoramic views of all the holes on the back nine – and it’s the starting point for the signature hole at Assoufid. We enjoyed a well-planned tour with 6 very different golf courses in 3 different cities. Whilst our golf was mixed, we were well looked after at each club. The hotels we stayed in were excellent. Very clean and comfortable, each with restaurants and rooftop/poolside bars that made for enjoyable locations to catch up on our days of sightseeing or golf. The tour guide and drivers were excellent, and the travel from one place to the next was seamless. Royal Golf Marrakech is the second oldest course in the Kingdom of Morocco, welcoming its first players in 1927. The course has seen the likes of esteemed individuals such as Winston Churchill, who frequented the course before World War II, as well as American President General Dwight D. Today, the immaculately landscaped golf course with its cypress, eucalyptus, palm, and olive tree-lined fairways are largely unchanged from those distant days.

After breakfast, depart for a full-day journey into the spectacular Atlas Mountains one of Morocco’s most breathtaking and authentic regions. You will travel through spectacular mountain landscapes, passing lush valleys, terraced fields, and traditional Berber villages perched along the hillsides. Throughout the journey, your guide will share insights into the region’s history, geography, and the centuries-old Berber way of life. Nestled amidst the picturesque setting of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains, Assoufid Golf Club features a, par-72 course that winds through a distinctive desert landscape with natural undulations. The par four 5th is one of the toughest holes on the card. Played from an elevated tee, its fairway is flanked on either side by desert as it rises directly towards the Atlas Mountains. The tee for the par three 17th is located at the highest point on the course – offering panoramic views of all the holes on the back nine – and it’s the starting point for the signature hole at Assoufid. Tee shots must carry a natural dry stream (called a shaaba) that runs through the course before reaching a wide but shallow green protected by bunkers to the front and rear.

The Championship course measures 5,976 metres from the back markers and it’s a beautifully bunkered layout with distinctive banked sand traps and a smattering of water-laden holes. The par five 3rd is a real feature hole, dog legging left to a two-tiered green that also tilts from right to left. The prestigious Championship Course has been a host venue for renowned tours such as the Ladies European Tour.
