Beyond some of the world’s best golf courses, there are innumerable reasons why the land down under is the perfect place for your next vacation.

Climate

Looking to get away from the dark and the winter chill? Australia is perfect for that, with average temperatures in December to February of 28 degrees Celsius (80 degrees Fahrenheit).  With amazing blues skies, a trip Down Under is sure to melt away the winter blues.  Also, because nearly all of Australia’s major cities are located on the coast, respite from the hotter days can always be found on one of our many beautiful beaches.

It’s the “most liveable” place on Earth

The 2018 Quality of Living Rankings by Mercer ranks Australia in the top 10 most liveable places on earth.  What does that mean for the traveller? Well livability takes into consideration factors such as political stability, crime, currency exchange, recreational facilities, culture and climate.   This means Australia is safer, less expensive, more fun and more comfortable than most other places on the planet.

Landscapes like nowhere else

From beaches to mountains, from deserts to rainforest, from coral reefs to rolling green hills, Australia has it all.  Even though all of these geographic features can be found in different countries, in Australia they have a wild ruggedness and ancient timelessness all of their own.  Cut off from the rest of the world for millions of years, Australia has evolved its geography, flora and fauna to be some of the world’s most unique.

The people

Not only has Australia’s landscape evolved in a unique way.  Its people, from the first Australians and custodians of the land, to our newer and diverse population.  Australians have grown into a culture that is genuinely warm, welcoming and laid back. Nothing is too much trouble and life was made to be celebrated.   Australians know this and live this way.  “No worries Mate!  She’ll be right!” will be heard everywhere you go.

Food and wine

One of the ways that Australians like to celebrate most, is with a glass in hand, sharing a meal with family and friends.  Thankfully, some of the world’s best wine and food is right here in our own backyard.  Australian wines are consistently ranked amongst the best in the world.  Australia’s size and climate means that our world class chef’s can have their pick of any fresh ingredient their hearts desire, year round.  The diversity of Australia’s population also means that food is not bound by cultural and culinary traditions, creating novel, dynamic and delicious dishes.
