Located in Portugal’s enchanting Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, it offered a truly unforgettable golfing experience for us all. Nestled amid rolling hills and lush landscapes, the 27-hole championship course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. provided a perfect balance of challenge and beauty. With its diverse terrain and strategic layout, you can expect to encounter thrilling shots and breathtaking vistas at every turn. It was a great start to our golf tour.
Embarking on a journey to Portugal would undoubtedly remain incomplete without immersing oneself in the wonders of Lisbon, the captivating city that has so much to offer. After a restful night’s sleep, we ventured to Palmares Golf Course, also located in the Algarve, is a true golfer’s paradise. This 27-hole course, designed by Frank Pennink and Robert Trent Jones Jr., offers an unrivalled mix of links and parkland-style holes. The breathtaking setting along the coastline presented us with spectacular sea views, creating an unmatched golfing experience in Portugal.
Our full day private boat cruise along the stunning Algarve coast was an unforgettable experience filled with joy and adventure. The crystal-clear waters and breathtaking cliffs provided a picturesque backdrop as we sailed along, enjoying the warm sun and refreshing sea breeze. The highlight of the day was our stop at a secluded beach, accessible only by boat, where we had a private BBQ lunch.

The Jack Nicklaus Signature Course is a masterpiece, meticulously designed to harmonize with the natural surroundings. With its generous fairways and undulating greens, Monte Rei catered to all of us golfers regardless of our ability, while the opulent clubhouse and impeccable service elevated the entire experience to new heights as we indulged in a delectable tapas lunch after our golf.
During our stay at Hotel Amare Marbella, we were immersed in a luxurious and unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a breath-taking view of the Mediterranean Sea. The accommodation itself was nothing short of extraordinary, boasting elegant and modern décor that exuded comfort and style.

Our second last golf experience was at Mijas Golf Club, situated in the Costa del Sol, is another outstanding golf destination in Spain. Offering two 18-hole courses, Los Lagos and Los Olivos, designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., the club provides a diverse and challenging golf experience. Surrounded by lush greenery and picturesque views of the Sierra de Mijas mountains, we were treated to an unforgettable round of golf.
We embarked on an unforgettable golfing adventure to the prestigious Finca Cortesin golf course, where anticipation buzzed in the air as we set foot on the same hallowed fairways that would soon host the prestigious Solheim Cup. The course, nestled amidst the breathtaking Andalusian countryside, exuded an aura of elegance and challenge.
Towering palm trees lined the pristine fairways, adding a touch of exoticism to the already enchanting surroundings. With each stroke, we were enchanted by the skilfully designed layout, featuring undulating greens and strategically placed hazards that tested both our precision and strategy.
As we played our way through the iconic 18 holes, we couldn’t help but imagine the excitement and pressure that the world’s finest female golfers would experience during the upcoming Solheim Cup.
