Hapuna Golf Course stretches along the beautiful Kohala coastline before rising to over 700 feet above sea level. The snow-topped Mauna Kea volcano serves as a dramatic backdrop and there are seemingly endless views of the Pacific. Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay collaborated to create a visually stunning links course that utilizes the natural contours of the landscape and silky fescue grasses.
The design team has received praise for not only the challenge of the design but also for how seamlessly it blends into the existing environment.

Mauna Lani Golf Club – North Course – 18 Holes with Shared Motorised Carts – Return Group Transfers – Optional Sunset Drinks & Dinner with Host (at own cost)
The North Course represents the quintessential golf experience on the Island of Hawaii. Built on a lava bed, the North is characterized by 18 holes of rolling terrain punctuated by Kiawe (mesquite) forests. A 230-acre protected archaeological district lies on the northern boundary of the golf course.
No.17, a par three tucked into a natural lava amphitheatre, is the resort’s signature hole and a favourite “I was here” photo spot. This course has become one of the most popular tournament venues on the Island.

Today is a free day for you to enjoy as suits you. You might choose to relax around the luxurious Manua Lani Resort, spending the day enjoying the sun and sea, or booking one of their pampering treatments at the award-winning day spa.
Or you may prefer to indulge in one of the unique Big Island experiences, such as a helicopter flight around the island and her volcano. There’s always an indulgent shopping trip to the Kings & Queens shops, or you could choose to play another round of golf.

Mauna Lani Resort Francis H. I’i Brown South Course signature hole is No. 15: a stupendous, ocean-drenched par-3, and Hawaii’s most photographed over-the-water golf hole.
The South course delivers an extremely playable and forgiving layout with ample fairways and approachable greens. There are many magnificent golf courses in Hawaii, but this is one of our favourites.
